12/6/11 – Final screenings of 2011 films

12/8/11 – Submit nominations

12/11/11 – Final nominees ballots sent to members

12/12/11 – Ballots due

12/14/11 - All winners will be tallied to give information to Film Critic members.

12/16/11 Detroit Film Critics Announces the Winners

For 2011,
 Each critic will submit their top 5 picks in the following categories: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Ensemble, and Best Breakthrough Performance, Best Screenplay, and Best Documentary.  From these submissions, each entry will be given a point value and the top 5 in each category will be put on the final ballot.  The final ballots will then be given to each critic to rank in order.  The results will once again be tabulated and the winner’s will be decided.
